Diversity in Design Internship Program

The DID Collaborative is establishing its first cohort of interns for Summer 2023, helping connect diverse interns with DID member companies.

The Internship Program aims to bridge the gap between higher education and employment for young, aspiring designers and will help promote growth and improved conditions for hiring more Black creatives into the design industry.

The program is unique in that it will provide a mentor for each intern from outside of their host organization for the internship to allow for additional networking and professional development opportunity, as well as personal connections. Also, as a means of ensuring all applicants receive an opportunity for professional growth, applicants who are not matched with an internship will be offered a portfolio review and/or additional educational workshop opportunities.

More resources and tools will be added to this page soon. In the meantime, feel free to email with inquiries.
